Terms of use

These terms are an agreement between you and Matrix Consultancy Services Ltd, 1205 Sand Dune House, Beachview Terrace, Gibraltar GX11 1AA (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Police Assist AI app and website (“the service”). By creating an account you accept them.
1. Not legal advice
The service is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for any police service, government body or court.
2. Your account
You must be 18 or over and give a valid email address. Keep your password secure; you are responsible for activity on your account. One account is for one person.
3. Free access and subscription
- New accounts get 24 hours of free access to the legal assistant from registration.
- Continued access requires a PoliceAssistAI Plus subscription, bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price is shown in the app before purchase, in your local currency.
- The subscription renews monthly and your store account is charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your App Store or Google Play account settings.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not affect your statutory rights.
- A daily question allowance applies, shown in the app. We may change the allowance or price with notice; price changes follow the store’s notification process.
4. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, including by attempting to access other accounts or administrative functions, disrupting the service, scraping or bulk-downloading content, reselling access, or entering personal data about other people or details of live cases into questions.
5. Content
Source materials remain subject to their own copyright and licences, including Crown copyright and the Open Government Licence where applicable. We aim to keep the library accurate and current but do not guarantee that every source is complete, up to date or in force.
6. Availability
We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and may suspend accounts that breach these terms. We will try to give notice of significant changes.
7. Liability
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for decisions made or actions taken in reliance on the service, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time in the app. Cancel any store subscription separately.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the law of Gibraltar. If you live in the United Kingdom, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts and keep the protection of mandatory consumer law where you live.
